Women's History Month

Every year, the National Women's History Project (NWHP), the sponsor of National Women's History Month, picks a theme that highlights the contributions of women to our history. This year's theme - "Weaving the Stories of Women's Lives" -- presents the opportunity to weave women's stories - individually and collectively - into the essential fabric of our nation's history.

Another excellent resource is the California Commission on the Status of Women and Girls. The Commission serves as a central information resource on issues that affect the lives of women and girls in our state, including gender equity in the media; educational needs of women and girls; gender in the workplace; the health and safety of women and girls; and women in the military (women veterans and military families).
